Arctica Ice Sales with Hushvillians!
Hei Gang, I've signed up the Wanderers, Beggars and Thieves theme camp (catchall for those in Hushville who aren't Birgins or Bmorg volunteers) to sell and sling ice at Ice Cubed (Arctica ice sales at the 3 o'clock plaza) on Thursday August 29 from noon to 3pm. This is one of the coolest (literally) and most fun jobs in BRC, and we need at least 8 people to sign up in order to be considered for the assignment. ANYONE camping in Hushville is welcome to join us. Everyone volunteering must have a current Burner Profile filled out and likely a few other hoops to jump through that I'll elaborate on in the next few weeks. We are not guaranteed the time slot or location I've chosen, but we'll see what happens. Stand by (after getting your Burner Profile filled out) for more info. One request: do not volunteer unless you will follow through with your commitment.

Wanderers, Beggars and Thieves camp lead
Hei Gang,
As you're aware (if you read the postings) I've signed up our "theme" camp (Wanderers, Beggars, and Thieves) in Hushville to serve up ice to folks at Arctica in the 3 and G plaza on Thursday August 29 from 11:45 to 15:15 (that last number is 3:15 pm for those of you who insist on American anachronisms). We need at least 8 people to sign up to be greeters (those keeping the line moving by directing folks in line to the next available register, as well as chatting up the incredible variety of folks that attend the Burn), pushers (moving ice to the edge of the refrigerated trailers, and the literally coolest job there is), slingers (hauling ice 20 ft/ 6 meters to the sales counter), and cashiers at the sales counter. This is one of the most fun endeavors you can do at the Burn--I've been treated to beers and whiskey, cool schwag, and skillful pole dancers in the years I've done it. What's not to like?! BUT, we need to have people signed up by Monday June 24 at 23:59 (alright, 11:59pm, sheesh!) in order to hold our spot. As noted in the following email from Arctica, there is heavy competition for these slots, so those of us planning to join the group have to respond quickly. Pu-leeze sign up now and make sure your Burner Profile and Volunter Questionaire are filled out to make sure we get our shift; otherwise it'll be passed on to another party (sigh). You'll be glad you did!

Thanks to those of you who've signed up already for this, but...we still need some more participants.
TONIGHT is the deadline to sign up for the Hushville Arctica gig. We'll be at the Arctica ice sales at 3 & G on Thursday 11:45 to 15:15 (3:15 pm to you recalcitrant American traditionalists). WE NEED AT LEAST 5 MORE PEOPLE TO SIGN UP in order to make our camp shift happen. Please see previous missives on this issue and sign up NOW! The whole sign up process should take less than 10-15 minutes. Even if you're a newbie/birgin burner, you will totally enjoy the experience. Gin and tonic (or lime and tonic) on me afterwards for participants.
PLEASE--DO IT NOW, so we don't lose our Arctica slot.
