Urgent call out to register your Hushville events pretty please! <3

Hey curious and curiouser humans <3

We are (lightspeed) approaching that time... The days are quickly evaporating away and it can be a headf*ck to just stand still and take stock of everything whirling around us!

But, we persist! And we do our best <3  With that in mind, we would like to gently request/prompt/cattle prod everyonel into registering your Hushville events. It is suuuuuper important this year that we demonstrate Interactivity Maximus to BMOrg, as they have their 'one eye to rule them all' beadily monitoring us! On a less jokey note, our Hushville family could be in serious jeopardy of losing our placement on playa in 2025 if we don't pull our weight with events this year >>curses and whimperings<<

So you know what to do! Or perhaps you dont... Here's a reminder/refresher/intro:

1. check out the events calendar to make sure that your date and time are available (if you're using one of the two event spaces) https://www.hushville.org/events/
2. register your event https://www.hushville.org/events/ (click on the green "submit event" button)
3. wait for us to check it over and make sure it's all good to go/green light/full steam ahead baby
4. (optional but we'd super appreciate if you do!) register your event in the Playa Events Guide which lets all of BRC know about your event https://playaevents.burningman.org/
5. do your thing on playa!

Heads up! If you plan to serve food at your event, you'll likely need a food permit which is managed by the State of Nevada ($50ish permit fee). Yep, food hygiene practices still apply out in the desert! If you're thinking about serving food, then check out this link first to make sure you're across the strict requirements (scroll to the bottom of the page for Burning Man specifics) https://dpbh.nv.gov/Reg/Temp-E/dta/Forms/Temporary_Food_Establishments_at_Special_Events_-_Forms/.

Hushville has a couple of dedicated event spaces with shade, tables and chairs. Check out our two event spaces (Magic Marty's and Popper's Place) here https://www.hushville.org/events/. You can also host an event at your camp or on the street - yay!

Don't know what event to host? We get it - it can be overwhelming enough just to turn up in the desert, let alone host an event... We have some 'pre-made' events that you can roll out with minimal effort, or that you can use as a starting point and customise into your own magical offering. Just email us (addy below) asking about our plug n play events 😉 You can also get some inspo from previous events in last year's Playa Events Guide here https://playaevents.burningman.org/2023/playa_events/01/.

Got questions? Excellent! We would love to make up answers to your burning questions about events 😉 Just zing them through to events(at)hushville(dot)org and we’ll do our best to muddle our way through them with you <3

Your events co-conspirators,

Brother Monkey and Infinite Confetti xx
